This free random password generator creates strong, unique passwords right in your browser using crypto.getRandomValues — the same cryptographically secure randomness browsers use for encryption. Unlike passwords you invent yourself, a randomly generated one has no pattern for attackers to exploit. Use the length slider and character toggles to match any site's rules, and turn on "exclude ambiguous characters" if you'll be typing the password by hand and want to avoid confusing O/0 or l/1.

For most accounts, a 16-character password mixing upper- and lowercase letters, numbers and symbols is effectively uncrackable by brute force. The real trick is never reusing one: a unique password per account means a breach at one site can't unlock the others. Store them in a reputable password manager so you never have to remember them, and enable two-factor authentication wherever it's offered. Your generated password is created and displayed locally and is never stored, logged, or sent anywhere.
