For most homes, yes. Wired systems still lead on continuous 24/7 recording and Wi-Fi-independent reliability, but well-placed wireless gear protects the vast majority of homes effectively — especially rentals.
Do wireless systems work if the internet goes down?
Many include cellular backup for the alarm signal so monitoring continues even if Wi-Fi drops. Camera live-view typically needs internet. We configure backup during install.
